Not charity, just work. Our Afrigraphico Tote is part of a two-piece collaboration between MIMCO and the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI). The EFI is an organisation that actively reduces poverty by empowering some of the world's poorest people through fair work opportunities. MIMCO worked with Kenyan artisans to create a collection that merges fashion, function and fair work. This is just the beginning! Designed in Melbourne, created in Kenya, the Afrigraphico Tote incorporates traditional Maasai hand-beading and artisan silk-screening with a futuristic, geometric pattern and motif hand-sketched by MIMCO designers. With a leather top handle, spacious interior and internal pockets, it has been created for mutual benefit so that as each piece brings joy to its wearer they can know also that its making has also bought joy, opportunity and empowerment to women, their families...
