Rolling Stones looking forward to 'cigars and salsa' as band touches down in Cuba

The British band’s presence in Cuba has awed local rockers, who told The Telegraph how they could still not quite believe they were here. “Obviously something has changed in the last few years,” said Jagger. Keith Richards, laughing, interrupted: “That’s what happens when you ban things.” Jagger continued: “Time changes everything, and we’re grateful to be here. “It does feel historic to be here as they haven’t had any big shows before. Five, ten years ago it would have been impossible.” His band mates - Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts - beamed beside him. The four had been met by the British ambassador and a delegation from Cuba’s culture ministry, in a sign of how significant an event their arrival was in Cuba. “We want to put on a great show, and bring something new and exciting for the audience,” Jagger added.
